Helpful notes for the week
Potholes are popping up after the freeze-thaw cycle. Please slow down on Main near the school zone and around the four-way by the grain elevators. If you plan to attend weeknight events, carry a small flashlight for darker parking areas and watch for icy spots on shaded sidewalks. The library has a warming table with hot water and tea during open hours this week. Athletics note: if weather forces a change, the school will update the phone tree and post notices on the gym doors by 3:00 pm on game days.
Community spotlight
The Senior Center hosts free winter wellness checks on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00-11:00 am this week, including blood pressure screenings and light chair stretches. The coat-blanket drive continues through Saturday with distribution coordinated by local churches next week. FFA has opened a winter produce swap corner at the Ag Barn entry shelf - bring what you can, take what you need, no questions asked.
